Power Section

At Woodbridge Model Boat Club, we have members who are interested in building and sailing electric powered craft. These models range from detailed scale models, through stand-off scale, sports models down to novelty models. We sail a variety of boats built from the better-known kit manufacturers.

There is a wealth of experience within the power section so that the newcomer to the hobby can be assured of help at the pondside if needed. Many of our members are active in both the Yacht sailing section and the Power section.

We share our skills and experience at our last Monday of each month Building Forums, at 10.00am in winter and from 11.00 am in summer, April to August. See the building Forum page on this site.

Otherwise, weather permitting, we sail power Models from 10.00am to noon every Monday throughout the year. Our steering competitions are held during the general Club sailing sessions on Wednesdays. See programme page.

If you would like to know more about electric powered model boats do visit us on a Monday morning when there will surely be someone there to chat to you, otherwise contact our acting Power Secretary, Geoff Lambert (wmbcchair@btinternet.com).

The Calendar for our events is on the Programme page of the website.
